Job description

We are looking for our first dedicated Solution Engineer to join the Go-To-Market team at Apideck. As a Solution Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between our customers and our platform—empowering product, engineering, and commercial teams at fast-growing SaaS companies to succeed with our integration layer.

This role combines technical expertise with customer-facing responsibilities. You’ll work closely with prospects, customers, and internal teams to architect solutions, support API integrations, and ensure a smooth technical onboarding experience.

Job requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the technical point of contact during pre-sales conversations and onboarding.

  • Collaborate with customers to design and implement scalable integration solutions using Apideck’s APIs.

  • Assist the Sales and Customer Success teams by translating business needs into technical requirements.

  • Lead technical discovery calls and provide product demos tailored to engineering and product audiences.

  • Troubleshoot complex API-related issues and guide customers through resolution.

  • Contribute to improving developer documentation, guides, and other technical resources.

  • Serve as the feedback loop between customers and the Product/Engineering teams to help shape product roadmap and enhancements.

  • Continuously stay up to date with our API products and integration landscape.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in a technical solutions, sales engineering, or implementation engineering role in a SaaS or API-first environment.

  • Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, webhooks, authentication methods (OAuth, API keys), and JSON.

  • Comfortable working in developer environments (Postman, Swagger, cURL, terminal).

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex technical topics for diverse audiences.

  • Customer-first mindset and ability to thrive in a fast-moving startup environment.

  • Experience working with tools like Slack, CRM platforms, Customer Suppport and issue tracking systems.

  • Familiarity with Node.js or other scripting languages, and hands-on experience with API integrations.
